MERCURY DESK-TOP PUBLISHERS Publishers of Children's Multicultural Fiction
MERCURY DESK-TOP PUBLISHERS Publishers of Children's Multicultural Fiction
Our mission to democratize cultural, literary, and linguistic diversity starts with mentoring unpublished and unknown writers of children's multicultural literature and guide them to write stories that appeal to children and young adults of all cultural settings. After publication, we use our support structures to reach out to our target beneficiaries (children) and give them unfettered access to our books.
We collaborate with community-based volunteer structures through which we channel our publications for donation to school, public, community and municipal libraries, as well as some community-based organizations. Our book donation program especially targets libraries that cater to the educational needs of children in under-served segments of society.
Prior to publication, we ensure that stories have been meticulously screened by our team of editors, copyeditors and other content review specialists to ascertain that they are appropriately child centric.
In pursuit of our mission to promote, support and popularize literary diversity and inclusion, we support unpublished writers of multicultural literature for children to publish and disseminate their literary creations. Unpublished writers who have tried their hands at multicultural fiction or non-fiction finally have the opportunity to have their works appraised by our team of enthusiastic volunteers for publishing at no cost to them.
We implement a recurring book donation program targeting children in school and community settings. We reach out to these primary beneficiaries through community volunteers whom we call Beneficiary Outreach Volunteers (BOV). Our BOVs are dedicated women, men and youth who serve as interface between us and the schools, public, private, institutional and municipal libraries that serve the communities they represent.
Our book donation program is presently limited to the state of Texas, with the focus area being the greater Austin metropolis. The program will be extended to other cities in due course, and especially when we succeed in identifying and placing volunteers in those areas. We are always looking for Texas-based volunteers who can identify eligible beneficiary communities and institutions in their counties. Men, women and youth who are interested to sign up to our call to establish a volunteer base in their communities, or know someone, some local institution or community entity that may be interested, should please drop us a line at contact@mercurydtp.org.
It should be borne in mind that Mercury Desk-Top Publishers do not handle, donate or otherwise deal with books produced by other publishers.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet the goals of our mission. Donations are tax deductible.
